Medicaid Ferry Tickets
If you are on WA Apple Health, your off-island ferry and ground travel to medical appointments may be covered by your insurance. To learn more about the Medicaid Transportation program call (800) 585-6749.
Medical Transportation

Emergency Transportation Needs

SJC Transportation Voucher Program
If you are 60 or older, a disabled person (either temporarily or permanent) and/or you made less than $25,000 last year, you may be eligible for the Transportation Voucher Program (TVP). The TVP is a limited-time program aimed at increasing transportation access for San Juan County transportation-vulnerable community members. Transportation assistance is personalized and solutions tailored to the individual’s needs. While one resident needs assistance paying for a taxi service to drive them to services, another may need ferry rides for medical appointments or an emergent situation.

Recovery Rides
Being ready to seek help marks a major and critical step toward recovery from addiction. When our fellow community members are ready to get drugs and alcohol out of their system and to tackle their addiction through intensive treatment, reliable community supports need to be there for them.
Recovery Rides will bring these supports at this critical time by providing fail-safe transportation and accompaniment from home to the mainland treatment (and back) for these fellow island residents who are seeking help. Call (360) 317-3119 for more information.
