Please read all instructions carefully before applying!

Step 1: Fill out the application on the Cushing Summer Application portal.

Once you have successfully submitted your application, please contact Sophia Lyles so she can let Cushing know to look for your application.

*High school transcripts are a part of this application. If you do not have transcripts available, then leave that portion of the application blank (applicable for home school students only).

Step 2: Submit Essay to Sophia at sophial@jlsfrc.org.

Your essay should be 1 to 2 pages in your own preferred format explaining who you are,
a bit about your life and family, why you are interested in the Cushing scholarship, and what you hope to get out of it. Please submit essays in PDF form.

*Both the essay and the application should be submitted by March 29th.

Step 3: A letter of recommendation from a teacher.

The teacher recommendation should include your academic strengths, needs, and potential for growth.

Step 4: You will be contacted to be scheduled for an interview.

The interviews will be conducted online, either the 1st or the 2nd of April. Students will need to come to the FRC 20 minutes before their scheduled interview to check in and get set up.

Good Luck!!
