Raising a family can be tough. You want to do what’s best for your kids, but knowing where to start is hard.

It can feel like you’re constantly guessing what you should and shouldn’t do as a parent, which gets a bit trickier in the tween and teen years.

The Strengthening Families Program is here to help. Our evidence-based skills training program will give you the tools you need to raise happy and healthy children. With our support, you can feel confident in your parenting abilities and build a foundation of trust with your kids that will last a lifetime.

WHO: For Parents & Youth Ages 10 – 14
WHEN: Tuesdays & Thursdays, Starting October 1st
TIME: 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
WHERE: Friday Harbor Middle School Commons

ACTIVITIES:
*Family discussions & games
*Community dinner
*On-site childcare for siblings
*Skill Building

PARENTS/CAREGIVERS WILL DISCUSS:
*Adolescent development
*Rules and consequences
*Solving problems with youth
*Ways to show love and support

YOUTH WILL LEARN TO:
*Handle frustration
*Resist peer pressure
*Appreciate parent/caregivers
*Get along with others
