Planned giving is a way to make a lasting impact on your community by including the Family Resource Center in your long-term financial or estate planning. Whether through your will, life insurance, retirement account, or another type of contribution, your legacy gift helps build a stronger, more resilient island community.
Every planned gift—no matter the size—creates lasting change, ensuring that future generations of islanders have access to essential programs like childcare support, housing assistance, recovery services, and mental health care.

Here are a few of the most common ways to create your legacy:
Charitable Bequests: Include JLSFRC in your will or trust. You can designate a specific amount, percentage, or asset.
Beneficiary Designations: Name JLSFRC as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy, IRA, or retirement account.
Bank & Brokerage Accounts: Designate JLSFRC as a pay-on-death (POD) or transfer-on-death (TOD) beneficiary.
Donor Advised Funds: Add JLSFRC as a successor or partial beneficiary of your fund.
IRA Charitable Rollovers: If you’re over 70, you can make a direct contribution from your IRA—tax-free!
Charitable Trusts: Create a trust that provides income to you now and future support to JLSFRC.
