Counseling & Community Wellness Program

Are you interested in finding counseling support for yourself or a family member?  The Resource Center can help you find professional counseling services, substance use treatment, or recovery supports that are a good fit for your needs and insurance eligibility.  Whether you have private pay health insurance, Washington Apple Health, Medicare or no coverage at all, our knowledgeable staff will assist you in finding timely and helpful behavioral health supports.  All services are confidential.

Household Essentials

Cleaning and hygiene supplies can be a big expense for new families.  If you have a child under 5 years old and you qualify for WIC or if you are a senior on a fixed income, you may be interested in enrolling in our Household Essentials Program.  

Island Neighbors

Island Neighbors is a community-based program that provides social, emotional and practical support to elderly, ill, isolated or disabled islanders who wish to remain living in their own homes. Regularly scheduled visits from caring, trained volunteers help our more vulnerable neighbors to enjoy a higher quality of life and avoid emergencies. Services include help with errands, transportation assistance, companionship and other similar needs.

New Day Recovery Café

New Day Recovery Café is a program committed to serving people who have experienced trauma and the results of trauma like housing insecurity, family conflicts, substance use disorders and other mental health challenges.

Parent to Parent

Parent to Parent offers emotional support, insight and understanding to parents who learn their children have special needs or whose child is going through a transitional period. Personal support from another parent, who has a child with similar needs, can be helpful in coping with many challenging experiences and feelings. Parent to Parent provides information and referrals to community resources, services, support groups, state support programs, Helping Parent, and events to bring families together and gain relationships.

Virtual Mom Village

Join our network of island moms and discover the encouragement you seek on your path through motherhood. We recognize the hurdles of attending playgroups and weekday events, hence we’re thrilled to introduce this innovative VIRTUAL perinatal/postnatal support group tailored for San Juan Island moms.

Young Women's Group

Open to all adolescent and young women, Young Empowered Women’s Circle meets weekly. In this environment young women experience a positive, safe, prosocial gathering of their peers, developing friendships and a stronger integration with their Community.
