Mentoring

The SJI Youth Mentoring program matches middle school aged youth with a caring adult that agrees to meet with them on a weekly basis for at least one year. Mentors undergo an application, interview and training process, while mentees also complete an application. This program is focused on promoting youth resiliency through relationship building and exposure to new and fun activities.

One-on-One Matches

Counseling

Are you interested in finding counseling support for yourself or a family member?  The Resource Center can help you find professional counseling services, substance use treatment, or recovery supports that are a good fit for your needs and insurance eligibility.  Whether you have private pay health insurance, Washington Apple Health, Medicare or no coverage at all, our knowledgeable staff will assist you in finding timely and helpful behavioral health supports.  All services are confidential.

Strengthening Families

Discover the Strengthening Families Program 10-14 for parents and youth. Join our trained, local facilitators for a meal and interactive sessions, including role-playing, discussions, and learning games, to improve family relationships, resist peer pressure, and enhance parenting skills. This program is free for all island families.
