Wave of Light

🕯️ Every year on October 15, people around the world take part in the Global Wave of Light to honor and remember babies who have died during pregnancy, childbirth, or infancy.
At 7:00 PM local time, candles are lit across time zones, creating a 24-hour wave of light that circles the globe. Each light symbolizes love, support, and remembrance for precious lives gone too soon.
Here in San Juan Island, families, friends, and community members who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, or supported someone through that grief, are invited to gather in remembrance and reflection.
This is a gentle space to honor, remember, and feel connected, both to our local community and to families around the world sharing in this moment.
